SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how we deliver prefab homes purchased via prefabia.store.


1. Service Area

  • We currently ship prefab homes to locations within the United States of America, subject to logistics feasibility and local regulations.
  • Some remote or difficult-to-access locations may require special arrangements or may not be serviceable. We will inform you if we cannot deliver to your address.

2. Shipping Method – DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, homes are shipped on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis to the delivery address you provide.
  • DDP normally includes international freight, customs duties and import taxes, so you do not need to handle customs formalities.
  • The DDP price does not include unloading, crane services, off-loading from the truck, installation, foundation preparation, or utility connections. These are your responsibility to arrange and pay locally.

3. Delivery Timeline

  • Each home is built to order. Production and shipping times vary depending on model, configuration and destination.
  • Estimated timelines are provided in your order confirmation. These are estimates only and not guaranteed deadlines.
  • Delays can occur due to customs, port congestion, weather, carrier issues, holidays or other factors outside our control. We will keep you informed of significant delays where possible.

4. Delivery Location & Site Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • The delivery address is accurate and complete.
  • The route to the site is accessible for heavy trucks and, if required, crane or forklift equipment.
  • Any local permits for road access, temporary road closures or crane operations are obtained.
  • The site is prepared and level, with adequate space for unloading and positioning the modules.

If a delivery attempt fails because the location is inaccessible or unprepared, additional fees may apply for re-delivery, storage or waiting time.


5. Unloading and Installation

  • Standard shipping covers transport to the drop-off point only.
  • Unloading, lifting (for example, crane), positioning, assembly, joining of modules, weather sealing, foundation works, and connection to utilities (electricity, water, sewer, gas, internet) are not included in the product price or DDP charge.
  • You must engage qualified local contractors for foundation design, installation and all utility connections, following local codes and manufacturer guidelines.

6. Inspection at Delivery

  • When the home arrives, you or your authorised representative must be present to inspect visible condition before signing the delivery note.
  • If there is visible damage to the packaging or product at delivery, note it on the carrier’s documentation and take clear photos immediately.
  • Report any transport damage to us at support@prefabia.store within 48 hours, including photos and description. This helps us work with the carrier and evaluate next steps.

7. Risk of Loss & Title

  • Risk of loss or damage to the products passes to you once the home is delivered to the agreed location or handed over to you/your representative.
  • Ownership (title) passes to you only after full payment has been received and cleared.

8. Changes to Delivery Details

  • If you need to change the delivery address or date after the order is in production or transit, contact us as soon as possible.
  • Not all changes are possible, and additional charges may apply.
